I can’t begin to tell you how much of a deep-rooted passion I have for photography. I could talk about it – with a huge grin on my face – for hours and hours. I not only love the experience of capturing and recording, but the intense pleasure you glean from the results – both immediately and for many many many years after. Coupled with the fact that I also love a great wedding (the more eclectic and boho the better in my opinion) makes this genuinely my dream job.
I am therefore truly honoured to share a couple’s wedding day, and to capture what I feel and everyone else feels and sees and loves and enjoys. The energy. The passion. The laughter. The apprehension. The details. Those real-time expressions and off-the-cuff looks. I look to photograph everything and anything that is relevant, a reflection of what is happening and that simply can’t be re-wound, paused or re-shot. In essence, a documentary of relaxed, spontaneous, exciting and true moments of you. And your amazing day.
I’m all about true you see. As an easy-going Northern girl, I’m honest. And direct. And very true. Always have been, always will be. So I stand true to my style of photography which is this. Not staged, never awkward, not static and certainly not posed.
My role is simply to showcase the best of you both – in the most natural, understated way possible – and tell your beautiful story as it unfolds. You have my promise that you will walk away (now happily married!) with the most emotive, creative, artistic, comical and honest storyboard you could ever wish for of your day.
Some will like this approach, others won’t -maybe you can call me a Marmite photographer – but this is me and my style. And thankfully I have been blessed to work with so many fabulous couples who also seem to love what I do – from local weddings here in my hometown of Windsor to warehouses in London, fields in Scotland, bars in Italy and beaches in Ibiza.
My camera and I will happily travel to wherever you want us.
So if you like what you see, please drop me a line, say hello and let’s chat. I’ll put the kettle on ….
